And loves to lie in the sun",

them together, as we put on "As You Like It" in the

"Here
shall you see no enemy
But winter and rough weather".
Well, we won't be performing in the winter; the rough
weather remains to be seen.
The plot of "As You Like It" centers o=
n the
love story
of Orlando and Rosalind, two highly born characters
who are forced to flee from their own spheres to the
unexpected costume prevents
her, and their banter also involves some serious
teaching and learning. Rosalind is Shakespeare's
longest female character, and one of his most charming
women. The play also includes various rustic
characters and villains, as well as Touchstone, one of
Shakespeare's best fools, and Jaques, a misanth=
ropic
sentimentalist. The play also contains numerous
songs, and many famous lines and speeches.
"As You Like It" has always been among
Shakespeare's
most popular comedies. Trilogy is very pleased to be
performing it, for the first time, in the summer of
2008.

Format to Change in 2009"
Trilogy
has made the decision to jump into the 21st
century: to change the format of this newsletter, to
an e-mail format, effective for 2009. The current
format ("snail-mail") will continue to be used for
2008.
There are numerous reasons for making this change.
Most performing arts organizations already use e-mail
formats extensively. The change will allow Trilogy to
catch up with the new technology, and to deliver a
bigger and better quality of communications to our
loyal readers. The e-mail format is quicker than
snail-mail, and may allow us to send more frequent
issues of the newsletter. The e-mail format will
include links that will allow you to access files of
photographs of our productions and other events
easily, and it will be easy to forward to your
friends. It should be easier for us to prepare the
newsletter for "publication", and will be much cheaper
than snail-mail.
In order for the e-mail format to work for you, you
MUST keep us up-to-date with your e-mail address.
Please send your NAME and your e-mail address to us at<=
/span>
[[OK, Bruce, how exactly do we want to do this?]].
Please do not assume that we already have your e-mail
address, and PLEASE try to remember to update your
e-mail address with us, when you change it.
We don't want to cut off those technological holdouts
out there, who don't use e-mail. We urge y=
ou to
try
to find a relative or friend who can help you to get
access to e-mail to receive our newsletters. If
that's not possible, we will continue to send
snail-mail copies of the newsletter, for a limited
time -- however, in order to receive such copies for
2009, you MUST use the coupon on this newsletter to
send us the request. Please be sure to make any
necessary changes to your address, on the other side
of the coupon. Our address is

Sleeping Beauty"=
; Was
a Big Success
Trilogy Repertory Company's talented actors kept many
kids (and their parents) wide awake for the production
of "Sleeping Beauty" in January of 2008. The
production, under the management of Bev Webb and
townships of Trilogy's geographical area, and was a
big success. At least one new community has already
asked about getting on the list for next year!
Many thanks to the actors and the backstage crew=
(including the transportation crew) who took on the
responsibility of getting the job done. It was
obvious that the audience did not think that it was a
real "dud of a day".

We hope that many of you had the opportunity to see
the beautiful collection of Trilogy memorabilia that

Trilogy's Girl Scout
Workshop Was November 17
Trilogy Repertory Company held its annual Girl Scout
Workshop day on November 17, 2007, at Ridge High
School, in Basking Ridge. This event helped many Girl
Scouts to earn their Theater merit badges. Not as
many Scouts attended as usual, but the number was
still a couple of hundred. This event is Trilogy's
major fund-raiser for the year; many thanks to the
large number of volunteers, from Trilogy and the Ridge
High School Drama Club, who helped to make this event
a success..
